TAKEMOTO PIANO Co., Ltd. is located in the middle coastal area of OSAKA (Japan's 2nd largest city) in Japan. We started exporting secondhand pianos to overseas since 1988, and our business has been spreading all over the world. Currently, we deal with over 2,000 pianos in stock a month, and exporting them to over 36 countries. Thanks to our customers, that we could achieve high reputation as Japan's leading used piano exporter.

EXECUTIVE 　

TAKEMOTO PIANO CO., LTD. was founded in 1979, by Koichi Takemoto. He had operated retail shop of new pianos, and he shifted to used piano business. Then he started to export pianos to outside Japan. In the presence, our business is in rapid growth, enabling to hold over 2,000 stocks, always in our own warehouse

Currently, Mr. Yasuo Nakamura (photo) is in charge of President of TAKEMOTO PIANO CO., LTD.


COLLECTION STAFFS 　
Used pianos are collected by our collection staffs. We broadcast TVCM saying "we buy your pianos!", and this makes our company name "TAKEMOTO PIANO" widely known by many people in Japan! Due to high reputation, people who want to release their pianos call us. Our Collection staffs are in charge of assessing clients' piano values, and arranging schedule to collect clients' pianos .


TECHNICAL STAFFS 　
After pianos are collected into our warehouse, technical staffs carefully inspect each piano, what grade to be evaluated and which part to be repaired. They repair, tune, and polish pianos along with customers’ demand. Our technical staffs are experienced and trained for piano maintenance, since they are graduates from 2-year school for piano technicians. They are also in charge of packing pianos into container and fixing securely not to move, in order to prevent damage during delivery.


SALES STAFFS 　
Sales staffs directly deal with worldwide customers who need used pianos. Each staff is able to speak different languages, such as English, Chinese, Spanish, Italian, and others, in order to ensure smooth communication with customers. President KOICHI TAKEMOTO started piano business with Seibu Department Store in Kochi Pref.
June, 1981 Established "Shikoku Gakki Center Co., Ltf."
July, 1983 Started to construct total maintainance system
April, 1986 "Takemoto Piano" been renamed to "Takemoto Shoten"
February, 1987 Established partnership with Korean Gendai Trading Co.
June, 1988 Opened Collection Department to purchase second-hand pianos from individuals
August, 1994 Started to export to Australia and other overseas countries
August, 1995 Built workshop and office in Sakai city, Osaka
January, 1997 Started to broadcast TVCM
February, 1998 Renamed to "Takemoto Shoten Co., Ltd."
December, 1998 Built head office (Takemoto Bldg, 6F Building) near Sakai Train Station
December, 1999 Built Second Takemoto Bldg. near Kishiwada Train Station
May, 2001 Installed new computer-based stock operation system
March, 2002 Exhibited our pianos at MusikMesse in Frankfurt, Germany, for the first time
May, 2002 Moved warehouse/workshop to new building in Kishiwada city, Osaka
October, 2002 Exhibited our pianos at Music China in Shanghai, China, for the first time
January, 2003 Exhibited our piano at NAMM Winter Show in Anaheim, U.S.A., for the first time
February, 2003 Installed new painting, drying, and polishing facility in Kishiwada workshop
August, 2003 Sales Department moved to 3rd floor of Takemoto Bldg covering increased staffs.
April, 2004 Renamed to "Takemoto Piano Co., Ltd."
November,2005 Registered trademark of "TAKEMOTO PIANO"
