Since the production started in 1794, it can be considered the oldest piano maker in the world: it was appreciated by many famous pianists like Liszt and Sauer, but above all it was deeply loved by Wagner.
For many generations the Ibach family continued the production: in particular the third head of the family Rudolph Ibach Junior, who was said to be particularly skilled in creating sounds, by exchanging opinions and ideas with the many pianists through all Europe he had deep connections with, greatly contributed to the development of the modern piano.
It`s a piano maker that was loved by royal families and rulers of many European countries like Germany, The Netherlands, Portugal, Austria, Hungary, Greece, Sweden, Norway, United Kingdom and others, which commissioned many works: thanks to this, Ibach is also called “The Rolls-Royce of pianos”.
